Antitrust offers subsidization of LPG transportation to Far East

MOSCOW, Apr 1 (PRIME) -- The Federal Antimonopoly Service has suggested that the government subsidize transportation of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) by railway to the Far East, the service said in a statement on Friday.

Up to 50% of all fuel that the Far East consumes are transported from the Central or the Western part of Russia. A similar mechanism has been in effect for the transportation of gasoline and diesel fuel, and the subsidy reduces the cost of fuel for the Far East by 4,000 rubles per tonne.
